In 2018 Ole Morten Vågan, one of the most sought-after bass players in Norway, collaborated for the first time with the unpredictable and creative Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, comprised of a sort of who ́s who in Norwegian jazz.Together they recorded the album “Happy Endlings”, in 2021 to be followed by “Plastic Wave”. On tour November 14-20, 2022, and available for festivals.

Christer Bothén – bass clarinet, contrabass clarinet
Vilhelm Bromander – double bass
Konrad Agnas – drums
Christer: “The trio started as an improv unit. It turned out so well that I later asked these two young musicians to join me in a trio. I wanted to try out new ideas for playing my compositions, a bit inspired by my time with Don Cherry and his way of playing in suite form, where compositions emerge and fade away in different versions. A kind of improvised suite. Also working with the jazz language as a found object, equal to other ways of improvising. Working this way with these musicians the trio becomes a whirlpool of sounds and challenging musical situations, instead of a predefined style.”
Available for concerts – feel free to ask for a promo cd.

Julien Desprez is no stranger on the roster: he was part of Fire! Orchestra and Nate Wooley’s Seven Storey Mountain. Now we start working together with his new trio ABACAXI.
Julien Desprez (guitar), Jean Francois Riffaud (bass), Francesco Pastacaldi (drums/synth)
the remarkable new power trio Abacaxi—“pineapple” in Portuguese—summoned an exhilarating fresh sound, geared around maverick guitarist Julien Desprez. Elements of abstraction, snarly noise and prog mixed with the guitarist’s gymnastic, dance-like maneuvers on an array of floor pedals, including stage lighting controls. (…) Abacaxi is one of the more exciting, genre-blurring and multisensory new ensembles around. (Josef Woodard, DownBeat)
Tour periods: end of October 2021 in/around Austria + June 9-19, 2022.
